Role description:
Arcadis is seeking an Entry Level Water Engineer, to join our team in Guaynabo, PR. This position will provide an opportunity for an entry level engineer to leverage their experience in water and wastewater treatment facility engineering, water distribution systems, wastewater, stormwater collection systems, and pump stations including planning, investigations, studies, analysis, designs, and construction administration services and ensuring compliance with codes, statutes, rules, and regulations, as well as Arcadis' quality and safety practices.

Role accountabilities:
The Entry Level Water Engineer will be responsible for communicating with clients, setting goals and objectives for project teams, and coordinating resources to ensure timely delivery of projects within budget and meeting client expectations. Direct collaboration with clients to identify needs and provide solutions to enhance client relationships will be a key aspect of the role. Additionally, the candidate will support teams during the marketing and proposal phases of projects, including crafting successful proposals, delivering engaging presentations, and creating scopes of work and budgets for various water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. Active participation in professional associations, activities, and conferences to stay current with industry trends and networking opportunities will also be a part of the role.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications
The candidate should have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related field of study is also required. These qualifications will ensure the candidate possesses the foundational knowledge and practical experience necessary to excel in this position.

The candidate should possess a logical approach and the ability to navigate complex issues to coordinate diverse project aspects effectively. The candidate should also have excellent communication skills, including relationship-building capabilities. Demonstrating leadership in devising technical solutions, the candidate should also exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills and a willingness to exceed expectations. Proficiency in project management functions and tools, along with a commitment to accurate and timely delivery, is crucial. Furthermore, the candidate should be adept at utilizing knowledge tools and digital environments within the organization. Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish are required. Additional skills sought after include public speaking, teamwork capabilities, technical document preparation, prior client engagement experience, and relationship-building skills within project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
The candidate shall offer over 2 years of experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater projects from a reputable engineering consulting firm. Possessing an EIT certification in PR and working towards a Professional Engineer (PE) License in PR, the candidate is an active member of the CIAPR. Supporting this practical experience is a Master's Degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field. The candidate excels in managing client accounts, contributing to client development, and leading project pursuits in collaboration with pursuit teams. Demonstrating technical expertise in water and wastewater projects, the candidate has a comprehensive understanding of the local municipalities in PR. Additionally, the candidate shall actively participate in regional and national professional associations, showcasing a dedication to professional growth and networking opportunities.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $46, 800-$70, 200. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
