Spectrum Resorts Housekeeper in Gulf Shores, Alabama
Description: Spectrum is looking to fill Housekeeper positions at their resort located at 925 Beach Club Trail, Gulf Shores, AL, 36542 and at their location in Orange Beach. Phone (251) 224-3221. These are temporary, full-time positions, and we are looking to fill approximately 8 job openings for employment from 04/15/2025 to 10/18/2025.
Job Duties: Maintain resort in a clean and orderly manner. Clean guest units to include kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms, windows, conference facilities, and balconies. Remove, sort, fold, carry and replace linens. Make beds replenish supplies, set up guest room and meeting room furniture, pictures and amenities according to resort standards. Mop, vacuum, dust, clean/polish mirrors, dispose of refuse. Report issues to manager. Ability to walk/stand, kneel, bend, stoop, use a vacuum cleaner, mop, broom, lift/move up to 30 lbs.
Employer is offering 35 hours per week; Mon - Sun 9:00 am - 6:00 pm at a rate of $13.16/hr. Days/Shifts will vary.Holidays, weekends, and evenings required as needed. Employer is offering up to 10 hours of overtime per week as needed, but not guaranteed. Overtime will be paid at a rate of $19.74/hr for working greater than 40 hours in any given week. Employer reserves the right to pay a higher wage, rate, or bonus to any worker in their sole discretion based onperformance, skill, tenure, or experience.Employer will provide paid on the job training.
Job Requirements: No training, education, or experience required. Ability to walk/stand, kneel, bend, stoop, use a vacuum cleaner, mop, broom, lift/move up to 30 lbs.A criminal background check will be required at the employer's expense. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Transportation: If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a workers voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.Transportation to and from optional employer housing to worksite is provided at no cost to the worker.
Housing: Optional employer housing is available at a cost of $160 per week with a refundable security deposit of $200.
Tools, supplies and equipment: Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
Other Employment Guarantees: A single workweek will be used for computing wages due and workers will be paid every week. The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law and will not make any deductions, which are not required by law. H2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees), incurred by the H-2B worker.
