Western Colorado University Donor Relations Coordinator in Gunnison, Colorado
Position:
Western Colorado University invites applications for the full-time position of Donor Relations Coordinator. The position reports to the Assistant Vice President, Development and works closely with the Development Team (Vice President for Advancement and Executive Director, Director of Development, Director of Advancement Services, Director of Finance, and Annual Giving Coordinator).
Responsibilities:
The Donor Relations Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage, steward, and grow relationships with donors to the WCU Foundation. This role oversees annual stewardship plans, donor recognition events, and the creation of electronic and printed stewardship communications. The Coordinator collaborates with the WCU Financial Aid Office and scholarship committees to manage the WCU Foundation scholarship program and leads the optimization of the Blackbaud s Award Management platform. Additionally, this position manages a small portfolio of annual scholarship donors, ensuring their gifts are solicited, stewarded, and renewed annually. Finally, the Coordinator ensures compliance and consistency in gift documentation processes for the WCU Foundation.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor s Degree, knowledge and experience in customer service, and detail orientation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Blackbaud products, including Raiser s Edge and the Award Management and Stewardship platforms. Knowledge and experience in scholarship management and donor stewardship. Familiarity with higher education or nonprofit fundraising environments is preferred.
Compensation:
$50,000 -$56,000 annual base salary range. This position is FLSA exempt. Western offers an excellent benefits package including shared premiums for a comprehensive health insurance plan, dental insurance, retirement plan, life insurance, and other insurance options. After one year of employment, Western provides free tuition for dependents enrolled full time in undergraduate programs for up to four years. Western has acquired local rental agreements for newly hired employees moving to the Gunnison Valley, which can serve as bridge housing.
