Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of all required documents and transactions necessary to ship and receive materials to and from domestic and international locations including India, Middle East, Africa, US, Europe, and China (Import and Export both). This may include preparation of manifests, packing lists, letters of credit, declarations, import licenses, certification of origins & other required documentation. Transactions may be required on ERP, BI Tools and MS systems.

  • Manage International logistics activities, including import/export compliance, customs clearance, and freight forwarding.

  • Oversee day-to-day logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing including 3P, distribution & Network Planning.

  • Work closely with Customer Service, Supply Team & Global stakeholders to expedite supplies to meet customer deliveries.

  • Utilize data analytics to identify areas for improvement and drive informed decision-making.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize logistics operations and improve efficiency.

  • Develop and implement logistics plans, budgets, and procedures to maximize compliance with customer needs within budget constraints.

  • Lead & drive cross-functional teams to execute complex logistics projects from inception to completion.

  • Be accountable for logistics spend and productivity, working to optimize costs while maintaining high-quality service levels.

Working Relationships

  • Internal: Commercial teams of different businesses (local and international), Cross Functions including Finance, Legal, GSM, Customer service etc.

  • External: Global & Local Contract Manufacturers, 3PL Partners, Freight Forwarding & CHA agents, domestic transporters, custom and other authorities, trade compliance consultant etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 8-10 years working experience in the areas of Global logistics, Global transportation & Trade compliance in global environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Operational research, supply chain, or related field. MBA or master’s preferred.

  • Teamwork – Ability to leverage the strengths of the team and taking everyone along.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills

  • Detail-oriented individual with a strong ability to multi-task

  • Hands on Experience of managing 3PL WHs.

  • Experience in managing international logistics in all modes of transportation.

  • ERP Exposure: SAP & TMS (Transportation Management System), BI & MS Tools

  • Exposure to Freight audit and pay tools. Experience of teamwork and co-ordination in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure of International trade in Middle east and Africa Market.

  • APICS , IPSCMI, Six Sigma or similar certifications in SCM.
