Job Title: Set-Up Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a Bindery Set-Up Operator to join our team. This role requires operating available equipment to ensure production objectives are met and involves cross-training to run all finishing assets in the Bindery department. The position is available on both 1st shift (6am-6pm, rotating) and 3rd shift (6pm-6am, rotating).
Responsibilities
Operate available equipment to meet production objectives.
Cross train to run all finishing assets in the Bindery department.
Perform minor preventive maintenance and repairs.
Report any mechanical defects to Manager and Team Lead.
Keep machinery in good working condition.
Ensure quality system procedures are always followed.
Ensure the department meets all needs for customer satisfaction, including on-time delivery.
Essential Skills
Preferably 2+ years of experience in Bindery (literature folder gluer) or other technical skills operating machinery.
Experience with basic quality systems and documentation.
Flexibility to work overtime.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
Troubleshooting skills.
Mechanical skills.
Ability to set up machinery.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
Manual dexterity for computer work.
Long periods of concentration.
Speaking, hearing, and vision are essential.
