We are seeking a skilled and experienced Control & Instrumentation Engineer with 4-6 years of experience in power plant engineering. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and power plant operations. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing control systems and instrumentation for power plant projects, including vetting vendor offers and drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development:

  • Develop and implement control systems and instrumentation solutions for power plant projects.

  • Design control schemes, logic diagrams, and instrumentation layouts.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Project Management:

  • Manage and coordinate control and instrumentation projects from conception to completion.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and civil engineers.

  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within budget.

  • Vendor Management:

  • Evaluate and vet vendor offers and technical drawings for control and instrumentation equipment.

  • Review and approve vendor specifications, ensuring alignment with project requirements.

  • Conduct technical discussions and negotiations with vendors.

  • Installation and Commissioning:

  • Supervise the installation and commissioning of control systems and instrumentation.

  • Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during installation.

  • Ensure proper calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare detailed engineering documents including specifications, datasheets, and test procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, changes, and updates.

  • Generate regular progress reports for management and stakeholders.

  • Maintenance and Support:

  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for installed control systems and instrumentation.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  • Implement upgrades and modifications as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • B.Tech degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.

  • Experience:

  • 4-6 years of experience in control and instrumentation engineering, preferably in power plant projects.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of power plant engineering principles and operations.

  • Proficiency in control system design and instrumentation engineering.

  • Experience with DCS, PLC, SCADA, and other control systems.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, ISA, NFPA).

  • Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in control systems or instrumentation engineering.

  • Experience with advanced control techniques and automation systems.

  • Knowledge of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards in power plant operations.
