Role Summary

A successful Operational Finance Director is one who can create and execute a strong routine within the OU to drive growth, profitability, and partner in building capabilities for future at bottling organisation.

Deliver insights based on understanding of the consumer, customer, competitive and economic landscape and identify opportunities in the market. Chart out the financial strategy & journey for the India Franchise Business based on the emerging trends and shifting profit pools.

Influencing the key stakeholders, through sustained and effective engagement with the Senior Leadership / Owners to drive alignment & execution of Strategic Projects and control over ongoing Operations.

Work with the FBO Lead and it is an individual contributor role.

What You'll Do for Us

  • Business partnership: - Partner with operations team, bottling system leaders to manage all activities at the Cluster level. This role will impact system revenue over USD 1 Billion. This role will drive alignment across multiple senior stakeholders, and develop the key insights needed to inform strategic priorities and deliver following.

  • Deliver revenue and operating income targets through analytics to help deliver growth.

  • Budgetary controls on Discounts and frontline Marketing expenses.

  • Administer bottler support process by ensuring all controls in place through Purchase order workflows.

  • Cooler placements and controls for coolers in market through strong governance framework.

  • Administer transfer price process for inter bottler sourcing of finished goods by closely monitoring commodity prices, value chains, product formulations and productivity initiatives.

  • Set rebate and deduction strategy, manage financial negotiations.

  • Support the system in mitigating inflation through productivity, mix and pricing.

  • Transformation support: - Support the organisation initiatives in transformation projects that will help build system ready for future. The role supports Merger and Acquisition team for transition work for any transactions executed. Work with bottling system to build capabilities of future in the areas of working capital management, taxation, governance, digitisation.

  • Data driven decision making: - Help business teams by providing key insights that will help in business decisions.

  • Leveraging financial and non-financial information to drive business growth.

  • Support in BPPC rollout along with RGM team.

  • Leveraging external trends and draw actionable for the system to drive business outcomes.

  • Impacting System financial health: - Strong routines to track and monitor system profitability leveraging inputs from various sources.

  • Set, track and be accountable for profitability and margins objectives.

  • Bring margin discipline to operational business decisions.

  • Monitoring progress on premiumisation initiatives.

  • Partner in initiatives for launches in white spaces to help build profit pool.

  • Role modelling: - Role model the 'Leadership in the Network' definition

  • Use a fact-based, analytic, strategic approach to collaborating across OU

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 12 years of leadership experience in senior financial planning, commercial finance, Business partnering for sales, supply chain, or financial accounting roles.

  • Extensive management experience, with ability to work in a diverse cultural environment as a highly efficient communicator and influencer at all levels.

  • Mastery of Influence and Communication, Knowledge and Insights, People Leadership, Strategic Thinking, Advanced Technical Skills.

  • Broad expertise in Risk management, Agile ways of working, enterprise-wide / transformational initiatives, portfolio strategy and flexibility

Stakeholders:

  • 4 Regional directors , 14 Franchise Managers

  • 10 Bottling finance teams

  • This role is responsible for partnering internally as well as externally to effectively drive financial outcomes, as well as to build alignment on key initiatives and metrics, with a focus on communication to: Franchise GM, Operations Cluster Heads of the OU, OU Category GMs, Franchise Units + Key Regional Stakeholders and Other OU leadership teams, platform services team and supply chain team.
