Technical Operations/Maintenance
Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.
Job overview and responsibilities
The Master Data Team is responsible for maintaining the integrity of part CRUD (Create Read Update and Delete) by controlling the interchangeability of parts at the SKU level and all of the related attributes associated with the parts. Specifically, they translate OEM and Engineering documents into the material management system to ensure that the supply chain complies with said documents, allowing the supply chain to operate efficiently. The team is also responsible for the coordination of tasks to bring the supply chain into compliance with all changes. All this is done cross-functionally with the Inventory Planning, Procurement, Engineering, Distribution, Dangerous Goods, Aircraft Records, Warranty, Maintenance, Quality, Surplus Disposition, Inventory Analysis, Inventory Accounting, and Vendor Management teams. The Manager – Tech Ops Master Data is responsible for leading the team of analysts in the strategic execution of these tasks and duties. The Manager will also support the team through delegation and prioritization on data analysis, task monitoring, performance reporting, and automation of certain transactional activities.
Material Compliance:
Oversee and manage the process on Material ECRA dispositions and report progress for the team
Ensure the creation, maintenance, and deletion of spare aircraft parts and consumable SKUs by the team in United's MMS is in compliance with Engineering Authorized Documents (IPCs, CMMs, ECRAs)
Create and maintain partnerships cross-functionally to determine attributes such as ESDS, material type, resource code, shelf life, hazardous material designation, UN/ID, and unit of issue
Ensure that SKU interchangeability is set up in compliance with Engineering documents, interpreting the intent for proper separation in the warehouses
Responsible for validating and monitoring all parts setups by other teams for SKU integrity
Partner with Engineering and dangerous goods professionals to ensure SKUs are have the proper hazardous material configuration in the MMS, as well as the setup of chemicals, from the Chemical Database, and maintenance of shelf lives
Task Management and Coordination:
Delegate tasks and project deliverables accordingly throughout the team
Lead communication with Warehouse & Distribution to have parts purges and bin checks executed timely, monitoring completion status for the team
Obtain post EA RSPLs, collect missing data, and communicate to Inventory Planning, driving and reporting completion
Coordinate the decision-making process and criteria analysis for SKU resource code reclassification and drive the process, monitoring the completion of activities by other departments
Execute and monitor the completion of unit of issue changes, SKU number changes, and SKU combines
Analysis:
Provide periodic and ad hoc reporting to senior management, ensuring its accuracy and timeliness
Query and analyze data for the Master Data Team to create reports and support actions
Lead the team in conducting research regarding historical setups of SKUs
Provide supplemental analytical support to the Inventory Planning and Inventory Analysis departments as needed
Automation and Process Improvement:
Develop automation techniques and design new macros for batch updates to the MMS
Generate and maintain reporting mechanisms to monitor the progress of the Master Data Team

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain, engineering, and/or computer science
A minimum 6 years any combination of the following fields: finance, supply chain/logistics, engineering, and/or computer science
Education in lieu of experience will be considered
Intermediate SQL knowledge a must Intermediate computer programming or macro scripting knowledge a must Advance Excel skills (pivot tables a must) and an Office suite power user Strong leadership and ability to communicate cross functions
Detail-oriented
Able to read and understand engineering documents
Internal customer service focused Comfortable working with large data sets and relational databases
Self-motivated
Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
Must be fluent in English and Hindi (written and spoken)
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
Master's degree
MS or MBA a plus
Education in an aviation program a plus

Experience in the airline industry
Experience with SQL server
