FirstService Residential Pool Deck Attendant in Guttenberg, New Jersey

As part of the Pool Deck Staff, you’ll be responsible for enforcing pool rules and ensuring the safety of residents/guests in the pool area. Â

Â

The shift for this position varies but this person will work 32 hours a week.

Â

Your Responsibilities:Â Â

  • Enforcing all pool rules and regulations in a polite and professional manner.Â
  • Oversee the pool area Â
  • Make safety announcementsÂ
  • Maintain an inventory of all poolside equipment to always be in good working condition for guestsÂ
  • Ensure the safety of residents and guests utilizing the pool area.Â
  • Provide information and services to residentsÂ
  • Assists with set up and breakdown of poolside activities as neededÂ
  • Ensure bathers are showering prior to entering pool.Â
  • Clean up the general pool area by returning chairs and equipment back to proper locations.Â
  • Report any safety or maintenance concerns to Manager.Â
  • Maintains bathrooms and general cleaning of facility Â
  • Checks sports equipment (ping pong, Tennis, Pickle ball and others) to make sure they are in good working order for guest useÂ
  • Inspects Gym equipment for missing or broken parts. Â
  • Reports broken sports equipment to the manager so that replacement equipment can be ordered.  Â
  • Be accessible to and approachable to residents/guests. ·Â

  • Must be familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for his/her position. Â

  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.Â

Â

Skills & Qualifications:Â Â

  • Minimum of High School diploma. CPR Certification is desirable.Â
  • Experience in the hospitality or service industryÂ
  • Experience and training in customer service is highly desirable.Â
  • Experience in an aquatic setting desirable.Â
  • Basic cleaning skillsÂ
  • Work in a team environmentÂ
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities, and advanced communication skills a plus.Â
  • Must present a professional image. Must be outgoing and able to work with all types of people.Â
  • Accountable for one’s own work, decisions and safety of oneself and safety of oneself and others.Â
  • Capable of working extended hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.Â
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; ·Â
  • Multiple language fluency is desirable. ·Â
  • Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.Â
  • Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbsÂ
  • Work in an upright standing position for long periods of timeÂ
  • Walk and climb stairsÂ

  • Reach with hands and armsÂ

  • Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written wordÂ
  • Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functionsÂ
  • Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner. Â
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends.Â

$20.00 per hourÂ
