Description
We are offering an opportunity for a detail-oriented Paralegal situated in Hackensack, New Jersey. Working in a dynamic legal environment, the role entails handling various tasks related to corporate chapter 11 bankruptcy. This opportunity offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Handle on-site responsibilities in Wilmington DE or Hackensack, NJ
• Leverage your experience in corporate chapter 11 bankruptcy
• Utilize case management software, LexisNexis, and Microsoft Excel for effective execution of tasks
• Handle cnecf filing system, disclosure statements, and 2002 list with proficiency
• Manage bankruptcy-related functions such as debtor and creditor relations, bankruptcy law, claim administration, and complaint handling
• Be responsible for 5 days a week in-office work with potential for some flexibility after getting acclimated.
Requirements
• Must possess a strong understanding of the paralegal role and responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel is required.
• Experience with Case Management Software and LexisNexis is a must.
• Familiarity with Management Systems, particularly related to legal settings.
• Should be well-versed with Billing Functions in a legal context.
• Ability to handle Briefing and Calendar Management efficiently.
• Experience in Claim Administration and Complaint Handling.
• Knowledge of Bankruptcy Law, specifically Chapter 11, Creditor and Debtor aspects.
