Eaton Corporation Associate Engineer - Product Stewardship in Hadapsar, India

This exciting role offers opportunity to :

  • Eaton’s Center for Sustainability is looking for energetic candidates with basic knowledge on product stewardship and can drive product compliance assessments for new and current products.

  • This role entails project implementation support for product regulatory compliance for regulations like REACH, ELV, RoHS, CP-65, POP and upcoming regulations for Eaton’s broad portfolio of industrial (vehicle / aerospace) products.

  • This work will help the business to establish and release compliant product portfolio and continue business in various markets.

  • Support global businesses in product development and engineering services for product stewardship.

  • Study and understand customer requirements on product compliance and implement those into applicable projects.

  • Works closely with global internal cross-functional teams (project engineering, Quality, manufacturing, Supply chain, Sales, etc.) for compliance related activities.

  • Collaborate with local / global external stakeholders for compliance data related activities.

  • Provide regular reports on development and support activities.

  • Demonstrate curiosity and energy in studying upcoming regulatory requirements and communicates the findings to the team.

  • Support continuous process improvements methods and adopt digital/automation tools to gain process efficiency.

Qualifications:

Requirement :

  • Bachelors (with 0 – 1 year of experience) in Environmental science /Chemical /Mechanical /Electronics or Electrical engineering with curiosity and thirst for knowledge in product stewardship

Skills:

  • Strong understanding on basics of engineering, science, and arithmetic concepts – material, weight, volume, density, mass, units, and measurement methods, etc.

  • Theoretical understanding of Product Stewardship and regulations like, ELV, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, PFAS & Prop65 and other applicable regulations and basic interpretation.

  • A flare for understanding of automation and Continuous improvement skills, dashboards, and digital skills is highly desirable.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts.

  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft office tools (Excel, PPT, Word)
