Eaton Corporation Industrialization Engineer - ESS in Hadapsar, India
What you’ll do:
Position’s main focus will be on industrialization support on projects which includes development of 3D models and 2D drawings of components , sub-assemblies and assemblies to support NPI(New Product Introduction) , Sustaining and NTI(New Technology Introduction) projects. Part/Assembly release in PLM(Product Lifecycle Management) software with creation of necessary documentation. Tracking of PPAP(Production Part Approval Process) status for released parts. The products are predominantly of Medium Voltage Switchgear domain and can also include Low Voltage switchgear products to a certain extent.
"1. Contribute to product development by developing mechanical CAD drawings + 3D models of electrical and mechanical components.
Will be responsible of supporting NPI/Innovation and Sustaining projects by developing CAD drawings and models of components , sub-assemblies and main assemblies.
Will be working along with product engineers to understand the design concepts and translate that into model / design in appropriate CAD tool
Will be required to complete the tasks within the stipulated time and with high quality
Responsible for Release process in the PLM software which would include creation of Change Request/Change Order, documentation as necessary for part or assembly release.
Tracking of PPAP(Production Part Approval process) status for NPI(New Product Introduction) projects during production release phase.
Creation of Industrialization plans and sharing weekly updates with project leads and stakeholders on activity status.
Additional responsibility:
- Drive projects on CI (Continuous improvement) or Functional excellence to improve productivity on Industrialization."
Qualifications:
B.E. Mechanical (Preferred would be Diploma holder who has recently completed engineering degree while working)
3 to 6 in sustaining role
Skills:
"1. Experience in plastic part & sheet metal part design. Awareness of plastic part, sheet metal manufacturing processes.
Hands on experience on any CAD software, should have worked on parametric modeling, drawing detailing & Assembly build up (Inventor/Solidworks/Creo non-parametric software experience will be an advantage).
Understanding of any Product lifecycle management tool like Enovia, Windchill, Creo Model manager etc. ( Enovia exp. is desirable)
Understanding of GD&T principles & its application’s
Familiar with Tolerance stack up analysis.
Experience in Sustaining engineering is desirable (i.e. execution of CO/CR) and should have an understanding of the PLM lifecycle.
