Support the Operations Maintenance Engineering team by developing and implementing Professional Maintenance Focused Area principles and tools throughout the organization. Analyze and troubleshoot improvements to ensure the strong operation, efficiency, and availability of machines. Conduct inspections and calculations to identify issues with machine reliability and efficiency related to mechanical systems, machining processes, and materials. Work to implement necessary improvements and updates, ensuring execution with the technician team. Ensure the application of proper methods and tools to reduce equipment failure-related losses.
Responsibilities
Analyze and troubleshoot machine reliability and efficiency issues.
Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical system issues.
Implement improvements and updates to enhance machine efficiency.
Secure the application of proper methods and tools to minimize equipment failures.
Perform data analysis on current and historical data.
Validate, update, and control drawings and prints.
Evaluate machine components for life cycle and condition-based maintenance.
Develop and validate standard maintenance procedures.
Coordinate activities related to Professional Maintenance across various departments.
Participate in improvement activities and address equipment needs.
Essential Skills
Experience with mechanical engineering and controls engineering troubleshooting in manufacturing environments.
Experience with commissioning and field service engineering of machining and CNC systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills in system installation, reset, and commissioning.
Ability to analyze data and failures.
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Controls, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
5+ years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in executing mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering projects.
Experience with CAD software.
Strong understanding of CNC-driven manufacturing and machining systems from a mechanical perspective.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with CNC-driven machining lines and regulated environments such as automotive, defense, aviation, or medical device industries.
Electrical knowledge and experience with PLCs, particularly Allen Bradley or Siemens.
Programming and robotics skills.
Experience with AutoCAD.
Experience in control system design and ladder logic.
Work Environment
The role involves working in both office and manufacturing environments, with a strong focus on safety. The engineer will observe and analyze systems but will not be directly involved in manufacturing processes.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00
