Sierra Nevada Corporation Process Quality Internal Auditor III in Hagerstown, Maryland

If you are a seasoned quality auditor professional looking to make an impact in a rewarding industry, join our team! As a Process Quality Internal Auditor III, you'll conduct and augment internal audit activities of assigned SNC Operations, Engineering and Programs at various SNC locations, and assist in providing oversight and continual improvement to SNC’s Enterprise Quality Management Systems (QMS). These internal auditing activities are used to assess and ensure quality assurance compliance, both internally and externally, per the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 Quality Requirements. You'll be responsible for leading and conducting audits to ensure that all management and employees throughout the Enterprise are in conformance to the company Quality Management System, and to ensure that all activities meet or exceed all business goals, customer/industry/regulatory requirements and SNC process and procedures. You'll support the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes and procedures that ensure compliance with policies, and that the performance and quality of services conform to established standards and agency guidelines. Responsibilities:

  • Performing Internal Audits

  • Assisting to develop the Internal Audit schedule

  • Performing Internal and External Corrective Actions

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience

  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Advanced knowledge and utilization of AS9100, ISO 9001 and other applicable Military and statutory Standards and Specifications.

  • Participate in external audits as guide

  • Experience dealing with Root Cause Corrective Actions (8D, 3 Legged 5 whys, Fishbone, 5 Whys)

  • Experience with DCMA and or FAA to include routine surveillance or internal auditing

  • Experience reading/understanding Engineering Drawings

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

  • Office Microsoft, Excel, Data base, communication across the business area
