About you and this role

Dow’s Packaging and Specialty Plastics Tech Centerhas an exciting and challenging opportunity available for aSenior Technology Manager.This individual will work within the Gas Phase and Slurry Technology Center Team providing technology expertise and support to global Gas Phase PE manufacturing plants to improve process safety, operational efficiency, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technology support to Gas Phase plants globally, helping with process troubleshooting and improvement projects.

  • Along with plant leadership, take an active role to drive plant performance up, leading by influence.

  • Get proactively involved on process technology, OD, and Quality issues for the assigned plants, by providing expert support and technology perspective.

  • Assist plants with troubleshooting plant problems and issues. Participate, when requested, in plant root cause investigations.

  • Act as a technology mentor for the assigned plant’s engineers, providing technology coaching and training.

  • Help during assigned plant turnarounds, as needed.

  • Provide leadership for definition of the Plant Specific Technology Plans and Most Effective Technology (MET) implementation.

  • Help to translate Tech Center MI Plan into assigned plant’s MI Plans.

  • Maintain implementation of technology expectations by participating in the project stage gate review process.

  • Leverage technology innovations and MET to add value.

  • Gas Phase PE technology liaison for improvement projects.

  • Participate and lead Technology audits (assess plant process safety, equipment conditions).

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

orrelevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant (PO2/Sgt) Military ranking required.

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Gas Phase PE manufacturing required.

  • Sponsorship/support may be available for this position based on eligibility.
