VCA Animal Hospitals Client Service Representative in United States

We are seeking an experienced Client Service Professional to join our team. We’re looking for a personable yet highly professional “service extraordinaire” to join us in delivering exceptional care, who has open availability and is eager to work.

A Client Service Representative performs a wide range of administrative activities related to quality patient care and excellent client service, management of client finances and accounting,

The applicant must be a reliable self-starter, motivated by a challenging, fast-paced environment. Strong candidates will have veterinary experience, a positive attitude, a friendly demeanor towards both animals and people, will be detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task and can demonstrate the importance and understanding of high quality customer service.

Skills and qualifications

  • Intermediate to expert computer skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong client service background.

  • Experience in the veterinary field preferred.

  • The schedule for this position will be based on the needs of the business which will include days, evenings, and Saturday's. We are currently open Monday- Thursday 9a-7p, Friday’s 9a-5p and Saturday’s 8a-2p

Job Responsibilities

  • Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.

  • Scheduling and confirming appointments.

  • Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.

  • Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.

  • Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.

  • Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).

  • Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.

  • Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.
