Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for an NC Application Engineer to join our growing team.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State.
NC Application Engineers are responsible for creating and maintaining NC Programming and machining processes while supporting the advancement of the Operations group through process automation and integration. An ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, an aptitude for CNC and machining processes, and should be technically knowledgeable of a wide range of manufacturing aspects. Activities will include CNC programming, machining process development, and integration of CNC equipment as well as the software packed involved.
The following essential job functions are performed:
- Maintain knowledge and development of the most up to date CNC/machining practices
- Develop and train personnel to new processes
- Work with CNC programmers and project teams to effectively process parts through CNC machines
- Develop applications that effectively accomplish company objectives and user needs
- Standup of new machine cells
- Software integration related to CNC machine processes
- Develop testing and rollout plans of new software and/or processes
- Maintains an overview of production processes and facilities
- Effective management of projects including budget and deadlines
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
- Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering/Engineering Technology, Industrial Design Technology, or a similar field is required.
- CNC programming/machining experience.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office products; some experience with Catia, NX Unigraphics, and SAP is desirable.
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- Must be familiar with a variety of the fields' concepts, practices and procedures.
- Must be able to rely on extensive experience, problem-solving skills and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Salary range for this role is between $68,000 - $145,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
