Sodexo is seeking a Full T ime Dietitian Nutritionist II-HC to join a dynamic team at North Oaks Health System in Hammond, LA. The facility has won the Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award two consecutive years and is nationally recognized for quality. Being the only Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accredited facility within a 7-parish radius and is home to one of five CARF-Certified Stroke Specialty Programs in Louisiana.

This position will primarily see adult patients and will assist with other units as needed including ICU, Intermediate Care, Telemetry, Medicine, Rehabilitation.

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the ideal candidate will:

• Be a Registered Dietitian

• 3-5 years experience

• Be familiar with the Nutrition Care Process.

• Have experience with electronic health records.

• Have an interest in nutrition support.

• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and excellent customer service skills.

• Be able to take initiative and to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Weekend rotation is required

• Precept dietetic interns

• Ability to obtain licensure in Louisiana is required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire

Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
