Employer: Tortorella Autochem LLC, 286 West Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, NY 11946.
Duties: Assist driver of liquid chlorine container truck at delivery sites by running hose to/from stationary truck to the onsite container. Plug/unplug hose as well as pack and unpack or store materials. Turn valves to regulate flow of liquids. Assist by supplying or holding materials tools. Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify operators. Clean and wash work areas, machines, equipment, and vehicles & other related Production workers activities as per SOC/OES 51-9198. Must be able to push, pull and carry object up to 100 pounds. Must have clean valid driver's license (or the ability to obtain one). Worksites: Nassau, Queens, Suffolk. Areas of NY-NJ-PA. Employer to provide transportation to and from work sites in Suffolk county, from designated location: 286 W. Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, NY 11946.
Work hours: Mon-Fri, 4am-5pm, 40 hours/week at $19.37-21.00/hour. Possible OT at $29.06-31.50/hour. Possible weekend/holiday work. At employer's sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill(not guaranteed), possible cash advance (if applicable/requested by worker, potential deduction from workers paycheck). Outdoors exposed to weather, must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply, hours may fluctuate, Overtime not required.
Must be 18 due to insurance. Must show proof of legal authority to work in the US. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 100 lbs.
No education or experience required.
On the job training available. All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Required clean, valid driver's license (or the ability to obtain one).
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
3/4s guarantee: the worker is guaranteed employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least 3/4s of the workday of each 12 week-period.
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts. Any worker who voluntarily abandons employment is not entitled to payment for outbound transportation or the full 3/4s Guarantee described.
