Overview:

The Materials Program Manager at eero is responsible for driving materials for NPI builds, including Prototypes, EVT and DVT. Your role starts from understanding the hardware build matrix at each phase and then manages both suppliers and CMs for component delivery. You will also need to drive the eero internal team for custom part production approval and flag any lead-time risks. You will be the owner to report Clear to build status to program Core team and eero leadership.

As an in-region Materials Program Manager, you are also expected to directly manage a few eero's strategic suppliers in order to align production schedule ultimately for delivery of parts to CM. You will be responsible to plan, monitor, and execute capacity and production to meet eero NPI and sustaining demands.

Key job responsibilities

What you'll do:

  • Responsible to on schedule and commitment of custom materials to factory needed for NPI builds (P#, EVT, DVT), including variations on build matrix.

  • Own the CTB at all levels (SMT, FAT, P) by verifying data from CM, sample shipments from suppliers, auditing POs from CM to Suppliers.

  • Point of contact on POR material schedule

  • Create and report stoplight of SMT, FAT, and Packout materials to Core Team and summaries for Leadership

  • Prime the pump on handoff of long lead or trouble components from NPI to Supply Chain

  • Work with Product, PD, and Sourcing to ensure clear part number, revision, and quantity are available according to BOM and build-matrix

  • Manage procurement, scheduling, and delivery of supplier components for material readiness during NPI builds

  • Flag lead-time risks on release schedules for made-to-spec parts requiring tooling (plastic injection molding, stamped metals, special modules, PCB)

  • Create Purchase Orders for special order parts or out-of-cycle turnkey components and tooling costs

  • Drive daily/weekly calls with suppliers and CM to ensure forward movement of parts and communicate status to cross-functional team.

  • Work with Manufacturing Design Engineering and HW Engineering to align tooling schedule ultimately for delivery of parts to FAT

Basic Qualifications

We're looking for someone with:

  • 5+ years in packaging manufacturing with direct responsibility to manage manufacturing operations production line.

  • Experience with package product life cycle in early design phases.

  • Data driven systemic approach to driving issues to root cause.

  • Demonstrated experience on production pack out line and qualifying end to end products which require pack out.

  • BS degree in Engineering

  • Exceptional communication skills via brevity and details; able to distill information to communicate to appropriate audience.

  • Understanding of Asia business culture

  • Attention to detail without becoming lost in the details

Preferred Qualifications

Chinese Language is a plus. Ability to onsite supplier side.
