Guidehouse Financial Analyst, Senior Consultant in HANOVER, Maryland

What You Will Do :

  • Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of financial audits and review of financial guarantees, reviewing letters of credit, surety bonds, and escrow agreements

  • Responsible for tracking financial performance requirements in the participation agreement and analyzing business performance and market conditions

  • Provides periodic reports and findings from financial guarantee reviews or analysis

  • Provides recommendations regarding financial guarantee reviews or processes to support model teams

  • Maintains knowledge and keep abreast of regulations or policies related to financial guarantee or payment requirements in the participation agreements

  • Maintains security and privacy of all data handled

  • Develop and or support creations of remedial actions related to this task and monitor as necessary

  • Support or provide guidance and recommendation for development of financial guarantee related educational materials, outreach and or technical assistance

What You Will Need :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, or other relevant field of study

  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience working in Audit/Compliance or Finance

What Would Be Nice To Have :

  • Experience working with CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid)

  • Knowledge of financial instruments including surety bonds, escrow agreements, and letters of credit

  • Ability to gather, analyze, design, and implement Compliance/Audit Plans

  • Ability to leverage technology to create solutions for clients

  • Ability to produce deliverables and client engagement documentation related to executing successful compliance monitoring activities, by supporting the planning, development, and implementation of audit/compliance programs

  • Demonstrates ability to identify risks and executing business process controls reviews on large and complex programs in order to identify vulnerabilities

  • Demonstrates some proven track record of success in identifying and addressing client needs: building solid relationships with clients; developing an awareness of Firm services; communicating with the client in an organized and knowledgeable manner; delivering clear requests for information; demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; and communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor

  • Demonstrates proven abilities to work successfully as a team member: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback; providing guidance, clarification and feedback to others

  • Experience conducting research and applying that knowledge towards completion of project deliverables
