Summary: The Aerospace Business Unit is responsible for Aerospace applications with a global responsibility for Sales, Manufacturing, Business development, Product and Process Development. The Business Unit operates in a large number of countries and markets, all over the world and with a customer portfolio that includes all major players in the Aerospace industry. Our business is fully customer focused, with products specifically designed for an engine / airframe application and then produced in small quantities and small lots on highly flexible equipment. Extreme product range fragmentation, complex product design, very high quality standards and traceability requirements are the peculiarity of our Business Unit. In Hanover, PA we produce Rings and Seals for the Aerospace and Industrial markets. We are looking for a 2nd shift Production Machine Operator to our Team. Role and Responsibilities: Set up and operate machinery in the DMG Mori department to produce a wide variety of aerospace and industrial shaft seals. Generally falling within the milling, turning, boring and abrasive machining procedures. Move from operation to operation as necessary. Work from oral and written instructions, prints, sketches and process sheets. etc. Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, etc.) to assure conformance to known standards. Perform operator capable lubrication and service as needed. Transport items and products. Set-up and operate Lapping Room equipment as needed. Make adjustments and set up machine. Maintain records and paperwork. Assure work areas are kept in a neat, safe, clean and orderly fashion. Notify supervision of problems or difficulties. Follow all plant safety rules and regulations along with company policies & procedures. Job Requirements: Must be able to read and understand blueprints. Knowledge of measurement equipment such as gauges and mics. Machine programming knowledge a plus. Able to effectively work in an environment requiring considerable independent judgment, analysis, creativity, pragmatism, and self-motivation with customer focus. Refers to supervisor for clarification of priorities, objectives, or policies. Not open for International Recruitment. All hourly employees will be part of the United Steelworkers Union (USW). Equipment Used: Including but not limited to CNC, Lathe, Milling, Lapping, Grinding Machines, Finishing Machines, Mori Machines.
