Job Description:
The Pit Master/Chef will be responsible for preparing, smoking, and cooking meats to perfection in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The successful candidate will have a passion for BBQ, an understanding of cooking techniques, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and smoke various cuts of meat according to standard recipes and specifications.
- Operate smokers and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor smoker temperatures and cooking times to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with receiving and storage of food deliveries, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Assist with inventory and stock rotation of meats, spices, and other kitchen supplies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure that food is prepared on time and to the guest's satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen management.
