Job Summary
The Warehouse Lead oversees warehouse operations during the mid-afternoon or night shifts, ensuring efficient preparation, loading, and inventory management while maintaining safety standards. They train new employees, troubleshoot issues, and develop effective communication and rapport among staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize product loads for bulk and side loading trucks.
- Troubleshoot issues during the shift and ensure load sheet accuracy.
- Train new employees on job tasks, safety rules, and federal regulations.
- Maintain effective communication and trust with staff and coworkers.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Determine workflow, assign duties, and ensure accuracy and neatness.
- Oversee warehouse equipment, cleanliness, and employee safety.
- Operate forklifts and other industrial vehicles to move and restock products.
- Ensure inventory control practices are followed and restock shelves for subsequent shifts.
- Complete and submit required reports, training, and seminars on time.
- Perform other duties as assigned and assist in other areas as needed.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required, with 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse setting, including supervisory roles preferred.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems and the ability to operate forklifts and other industrial vehicles safely
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and train warehouse staff effectively
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills to troubleshoot issues and maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse
- Willingness to follow safety protocols, complete required training, and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposure to frequent sitting. May have to lift up to 50 pounds.
