The Department of Transportation (DOT), Bureau of Driver Licensing, is seeking a Clerical Assistant 3 to review medical forms and process medical reports. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will review medical reports from physicians, law enforcement, and others to make an informed decision on the approval or denial of a driver's medical waiver. You will process driver licensing forms and applications, including renewals, permits, extensions, and identification cards, and calculate all fees associated with processing.

Your role will also involve contacting lawyers, physicians, and other medical personnel to obtain information needed for clarification of reports, research discrepancies in medical records, adding or deleting medical restrictions, and ensuring that the correct fee waiver code is used and properly documented whenever a fee waiver is necessary to process a customer transaction.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. This position will also require you to work rotating Saturdays. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment.
