DESCRIPTION OF WORK This Legal Assistant 1 position is responsible for administrative and legal clerical support. Work includes typing, formatting, and proofreading of briefs, motions, decisions, correspondence and memoranda prepared by division attorneys and support staff. You will also compile, organize, and prepare court records for certification to the courts. This includes recording information, as well as updating and maintaining logs and case files. Purges closed cases.

This position may also perform other clerical support duties, such as handling mail, answering the telephone, scanning files, faxing, using a copy machine, maintaining a calendar, and managing office equipment. Take your clerical skills to the next level with our team!

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to two days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:Applicants new to the Commonwealth will start at the starting salary rate of $39,003.00. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of responsible clerical, enforcement or investigative work; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
