We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team operating in the financial services industry, located in Harrisburg, PA. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The Staff Accountant will be tasked with aiding in the resolution of a backlog of bank reconciliations and maintaining long-term roles within the team. The role will start with on-site training for three weeks, after which remote work will be the norm with the possibility of spending one day on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in clearing a backlog of bank reconciliations

• Handling journal entries as part of the job function

• Ensuring accurate and efficient processing of financial information

• Maintaining a consistent work schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

• Utilizing skills in Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software for financial tasks

• Managing the general ledger and month-end close processes

• Providing support to the team for ongoing projects

• Maintaining local residency for possible on-site work.

Requirements • Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations is necessary for managing and balancing our company's accounts.

• Experience with General Ledger is required for maintaining and overseeing our financial data.

• Ability to prepare Journal Entries is essential for recording our financial transactions.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures is necessary for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Knowledge of Oracle is required for managing and processing our company's financial data.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is necessary for efficient financial management and bookkeeping.

• Familiarity with SAP is essential for effective enterprise resource planning and financial management.
