Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Utility Complaints Investigator Trainee, PUC in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Utility Complaints Investigators investigate complaints and payment arrangement requests received from utility consumers.  As a Trainee, you will go through a comprehensive one-year training program that includes classroom, one-on-one and on-the-job trainingto prepare you to independently investigate and resolve informal consumer utility complaints. Upon successful completion of the twelve-month training period, you will receive a promotion to a Utility Complaints Investigator with an increase in salary! Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: This position is headquartered in Harrisburg.Telework is a potential feature of these positions for employees. Successful candidates are required to report to the headquarters worksite daily, unless the employee meets eligibility requirements and telework has been approved. To be eligible to participate in telework, the employee's Alternate (telework) Worksite must meet the following requirements: The telework worksite must be located 1) within 120 miles or less of travel distance to Harrisburg headquarters and 2) within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Management may discontinue any telework arrangement at any time, for any reason. QUALIFICATIONS One year as a Utility Termination Investigator; or Five years of customer service or claims processing experience which includes obtaining, providing, and evaluating information, including or supplemented by one year of experience in the collection, compilation, investigation, and evaluation of information to determine compliance with and enforce rules, regulations, and statutes; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of experience in the collection, compilation, investigation, and evaluation of information to determine compliance with and enforce rules, regulations, and statutes.
