General Information:

The Center for Global Engagement at James Madison University (JMU) is seeking a dynamic individual who is passionate about international education to develop and implement international recruitment strategies and support admission operations that will greatly enhance overall international students' enrollment at JMU. This position will manage activities related to recruiting prospective international students and supporting international admission operations, including international recruitment efforts, marketing and communication, and event planning for international students. The International Recruitment manager collaborates with Undergraduate Admissions, The Graduate School, Marketing and other campus partners to assure that these activities are implemented in a strategic and coordinated manner and that an effective communication plan is implemented for each prospective international student who contacts JMU. Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities: *Responsible for implementing the international recruitment strategies for JMU in collaboration with the offices of Undergraduate Admissions, The Graduate School and Marketing *Serves as the primary contact person to coordinate and maintain relationships with various recruitment agencies for JMU *Provides information and guidance on immigration visa requirements, housing, health insurance, and academics *Manages recruiting visits to targeted international students markets and primary partners who disseminate current JMU information and meet with prospective students, sponsors, parents, school counselors, local recruiting agencies *Manages communications to prospective international students, sponsors, and recruitment agencies

Qualifications:

Required: *Bachelor's degree *Project management experience *Understanding of the international student experience and a passion for international education *Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse cultures; able to build and maintain relationships with prospective international students and their parents, recruitment agencies, sponsoring embassies and government entities *Organizational skills, attention to detail *Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills *Ability to travel internationally, in-state and out-of-state travel Preferred: *Master's degree *Experience in a post-secondary institution in recruitment or admissions *Five years of work experience in a related setting *Knowledge of SEVIS *Experience developing student journeys with a CRM *Knowledge of admission requirements and international credential evaluation *Experience in an International Student Services office *Ability to communicate in multiple languages
