Police Officer
Position: Officer
Department: Police Department
Supervision: Sergeant
Pay rage: $25.00 - $36.00
Functions and Duties:
• Prevent or detect crime and enforce criminal statues or ordinances of the State of Utah or any of its political subdivisions.
• Respond to situations involving threats to public safety and making emergency decisions affecting the lives and health of others.
• Performs duties that consist of providing community protection.
• Prepares various reports, records, logs, time sheets, and other necessary records.
• Preserves evidence, investigates and renders assistance at the scene of vehicular accidents.
• Transportation of prisoners and mental subjects/patients to and from courts, jail and mental facilities.
• Other duties as assigned
Working conditions:
• Working conditions may vary.
• Life/personal safety is placed at risk
• Physically demanding
possibly physically attached and/or injury.
o Standing, walking, running, crawling, sitting, etc.
o Driving a vehicle
o Be able to life a up to 50lbs
o Occasionally restrains individuals weighing up to 200lbs or more
• Exposed to different elements

• Rotating shifts -- nights, weekends, holidays, days, and swing
Knowledge, Education, and Certifications:
• P.O.S.T Certified
• Current/valid Utah Driver's License.
• US Citizen
• No Convictions for Domestic Violence
• Pass background check, drug screen, and mental evaluation
• First aid principles
• Firearms and firearm safety
• Computer skills
