Description:
At Saint Francis Hospital , the Nursing Assistant II carries out tasks supportive and complimentary to Nursing practice, which may include various clerical, messenger, and housekeeping functions according to philosophy, policies, procedures and/or protocols of Mount Sinai Campus. Provides direct patient care to all ages of patients, primarily focusing on the adult patient.
What you will do
Collect and report patient information and data
Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, elimination, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation
Patient Transport
Collection of specimens
Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
Deliver ice and beverages to patients
Minimum Qualifications
Education : Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma/GED. A graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program
Five years CNA experience required
Certification : Current Connecticut Nurse Aide Registry certification required. BLS certification required
Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks
