Trinity Health Phlebotomist - 40 hrs - Days - FLOAT Patient Service Centers in Hartford, Connecticut

Description:

Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center, Hartford, CT Outpatient Lab

You would be responsible to register patient information, obtain blood specimens, process laboratory specimens for clinical analysis. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients.

What will you do:

  • Properly identify and register patients, per policy and performs venipuncture using standard/butterfly methods

  • Labels all specimens following laboratory policies and procedures

Work Hours/Shift:

• 40 hours, flexibility to cover other centers as needed. Dependable transportation required, mileage reimbursement available for travel between centers when needed.

Requirements :

  • High School Diploma or GED, completion of Phlebotomy Training Program

  • Laboratory experience, specimen processing preferred; clinical office experience with medical terminology

  • National Certification preferred
