The Hartford is seeking a highly motivated Solution & Design Consultant our Innovation Center of Excellence. The Innovation center of Excellence’s mission is to drive the adoption of artificial intelligence capabilities into our processes. In this role you will be responsible for reimaging processes and services enabled by AI, conducting proof-of-concept experiments, and create production solutions.

This individual may be asked to fill various roles: Product Owner for agile scrum team, subject matter expert for data science or technology team and/or process designer; to name a few.

Responsibilities may include:

● Serve as Product Owner for agile scrum team

● Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories.

● Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities.

● Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.

● Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and develop solutions that meet business needs.

● Reimagine processes and services enabled by AI, conducting POCs to test available capabilities, and creating production solutions.

● Provide training and guidance to team members on new process changes.

Minimum Requirements:

● Previous working experience as a Solution & Design Consultant, Process Optimization Consultant, or Product Owner.

● Minimum 2-3 years of claim/operations, or cross industry experience.

● Experience in using generative AI to solve business problems, transforming business processes using AI.

● Demonstrated experience in process improvement and optimization.

● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

● Excellent communication and presentation skills.

● Vendor Evaluation: The candidate should be able to assess and select vendors based on specified criteria, to establish best-in-class vendor portfolio.

Education:

● Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

● Certifications in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) are a plus.

●Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification is a plus.

This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement.  Candidates who live near one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).   Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$82,560 - $123,840
