A thriving Lending Business is core to the success of American Express and achieving its growth aspirations. The International Proprietary Lending & Product Team’s vision is to be a growth engine that supports lending growth strategies across markets.

The Pricing team is responsible for driving revenue growth and improve profitability across international markets, both from the existing portfolio and newly acquired customers. The team leads pricing and yield management strategies by identifying growth opportunities, driving robust business insights, collaborating with business partners, deploying new capabilities, and executing “test and learn” tactics across international markets. Underpinning this is continued focus on governance and guardrails that delivers the best outcomes for our customers and shareholders.

Sr. Analyst plays a crucial role in maintaining a balance between profitability, competitiveness, and compliance within the organization. In addition, this role provides an opportunity to lead and inform lending growth and pricing strategies through analytics, leveraging internal and external data.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Develop Pricing models and strategies that align with Business goals and market conditions.

  • Execute strategic analysis across International Proprietary & Co-brand markets to identify revenue generating opportunities and inform pricing strategies.

  • Execute quantitative analyses to diagnose, inform and validate customer behavioral assumptions on Lending products in multiple focus segments.

  • Partner with other business units in the company on key Lending decisions across the customer lifecycle and facilitate information sharing.

  • Work with multiple business & technical teams to deploy strategies that grow Amex’s share of lend, profitably expand eligibility of products & customer treatments, and increase customer engagement - while improving customer experience.

  • Develop and maintain tracking of key performance metrics for lending business across markets.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of the economics of lending products and key levers of profitability

  • Knowledge and experience of statistical and analytical techniques

  • Practical coding experience with SQL. Exposure to Big Data a plus

  • Understanding of financial, Credit bureau and behavioral data to develop business insights shaping growth strategies and initiatives

  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Self-Starter with strong organizational skills

  • Experience of creating financial models in excel

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
