Laboratory Testing, Inc Fatigue and Fracture Testing Technician in Hatfield, Pennsylvania

Launch your career into the stratosphere and join the team at Laboratory Testing Inc. as a Fatigue and Fracture Test Technician!  In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing our fracture mechanics department. In this hands-on position, you'll operate sophisticated servo-hydraulic test frames to conduct critical fatigue and fracture mechanics tests, including fatigue crack growth and fracture toughness. 

This is a1st shift role working at our facility in Hatfield, PA Monday through Friday from 7am - 3:30pm.

Working closely with the Laboratory Manager and fellow technicians, you'll set up equipment, measure and prepare specimens, and ensure all testing procedures adhere to NADCAP or OEM guidelines. Your attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and proactive approach will be essential as you monitor tests, document results, and maintain calibration of lab equipment. * Responsibilities:*

  • Operate servo-hydraulic test frames to perform fatigue and fracture mechanics tests.
  • Set up equipment, fixtures, and software for tests as appropriate.
  • Measure and prepare specimens for testing.
  • Ensure that test equipment and instruments are functioning properly and in calibration.
  • Monitor tests for anomalies and resolve any issues proactively with engineering management.
  • Measure specimens after testing, and document test results.
  • Perform calibration of instrumentation and lab equipment
  • Assist with maintenance of test equipment. 

     Qualifications:

  • 2+ years' experience or equivalent education experience in a mechanical work environment.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to be proactive and be self-sufficient, and to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
