We are looking for a Network Design Engineer who has an interest in technology and looking for a challenge. You should have a strong analytical mind set around today’s technology and ability to understand Cisco and Meraki networks. You will perform an integral role in the planning of the school’s network technology refresh program for a large K-12 client. Primary responsibility, as part of a Survey and Design team to review, interpret and create preliminary designs for our K-12 schools.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Reviewing and understanding site survey documents and existing as built for wired and wireless networks
· Ability to comprehend and adhere to Program’s technical standards
· Ability to navigate excel to interpret survey documents and produce deliverables
· Completing all program defined deliverables in a timely manner
· Ability to follow standard procedure to generate network designs and other related documents for configuration and integration
· Ability to work within a team environment or independently
QUALIFICATIONS
· Strong attention to detail
· Proficient in Excel, creation of macros, VBA, advance functions and pivot tables
· Understanding of VLANs and Network infrastructure
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Understanding in Networking technologies
· Cisco Infrastructure experience/knowledge
PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED
· Python, coding experience a plus
o Use of python for network automation
o Excel Wings
o Netmiko
o Selenium, web scraping
· Knowledge and creation of databases
o Database development
· Front end development
· Mobile app development
