Responsibilities
Examine solder joints and connections to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Identify and report defects such as cold solder joints, solder bridges, and improper soldering techniques.
Inspect electronic components including capacitors, resistors, diodes, and transistors for physical damage and proper placement.
Verify component values and orientations against schematics and design specifications.
Utilize testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies to evaluate PCB functionality and performance.
Conduct electrical tests to ensure the boards operate correctly within specified parameters.
Read and understand electrical schematics and diagrams to accurately assess PCB assembly and troubleshooting.
Use schematics to guide inspection and testing processes.
Perform mechanical inspections using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to measure board dimensions and component placements.
Ensure mechanical aspects of PCBs meet design specifications and tolerances.
