Summary Description:

• To assist Quality Manager in all duties.
• Test and Inspect products and processes for conformance to written TANDEMLOC, Inc. quality procedures and policies.
• Perform Weld Inspection.
• The ideal candidate would be an AWS CWI for MT, VT, PT. (American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector for Magnetic Particle Testing, Visual and Optical Testing, Penetrant Testing)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receiving inspection.
• Weld inspection.
• Audit in process inspection.
• Finished product inspection.
• Inspect and witness load tests.
• Assist QA administrative assistant with calibration when needed.
• Assist Proof Testing Department maintaining load test equipment.
• Rework items as required.
• Assist Shipping Department when needed.
• Help Production when requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

• High School or GED with 1 year similar experience
• ASNT-TC-1A Level II welding inspection certification with 1 year experience (Society for Non-Destructive Testing - Technical Committee)

Communication Skills:

• Ability to read technical drawings
• Ability to work with members of other departments regarding inspected products
• Ability to work with vendors and purchasing regarding received products

Technical Skills:

• Must be able to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.)
• Must operate forklifts and overhead cranes
• Ability to perform visual and mag particle weld inspections

Travel Requirements:

• None or minimal.

Physical Demands:

• Bending, lifting, stooping, repetitive motions

Mental Demands:

• Minimal, some stress due to scheduling
