This position is for a Manager within Boeing Global Services (BGS) Supplier Management with the responsibility, accountability and authority (RAA) to build and lead a diverse team of individual contributors in support of BGS-Government Spare part requirements. The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for Supply Base Strategy & Subcontracting, Supplier Project Management, Proposal Board Support, Special Projects and Initiatives for the Top Supplier statement or work. The ideal candidate for this position will possess in-depth knowledge and experience in leading resources supporting in Hazelwood, MO

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options : Hazelwood, MO.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead a diverse team of Supplier Management professionals performing activities related to the acquisitions in support of BGS-G Spare part procurement, long term contracting, supplier performance management, terms & conditions, and supplier recovery.

  • Provide strategic leadership, knowledge and oversight of negotiation processes and tools, advance the implementation of strategic contracting strategies, and participate in negotiations as necessary. Develop and build a compliance-focused team culture.

  • Ensure organizational, business and technical strategies, goals and objectives align with business partner vision/strategy. Meet cost savings/affordability targets, mitigate risk, measure progress to plan.

  • Establishing an agile and responsive supply base with rapid response capabilities required to support the BGS business in a competitive and global market place.

  • Develop and execute organizational strategies that accelerate growth, reduce cost, mitigates risks and improve supply base performance.

  • Establish partnerships and relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports. Builds strategic partnerships with suppliers and/or organizations to advance Boeing's position.

  • Build and develop an empowered team through coaching and mentoring, and provide developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities.

  • Inspire a culture that creates an environment where diverse, high-performing, proactive and engaged team members can excel and flourish.

  • Champion a culture of communication that conveys organizational messages to facilitate the accomplishment of workgroup, project or process goals. Employ Seek, Speak & Listen (SS&L) to actively communicate and engage with employees, peers, customers, and stakeholders, keep others informed.

  • This position requires proven ability to operate in a collaborative environment developing strong relationships across teams and functions to ensure overall success of aggressive business objectives in a dynamic environment.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 3 + years of Supplier Subcontracting Process (Experience negotiating subcontracts and managing supplier performance.)

  • 3 + years of Supplier Negotiation Skills (Experience leading supplier contract negotiations.)

  • 3 + years of Supplier Relationship Management (Experience managing supplier relationships.)

  • 3 + years of experience in Supplier Chain / Supply Base or Supplier Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external)

  • Experience working with suppliers and managing a supply base in a dynamic environment with frequent expedited procurement demands

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: 110,500 - 149,500
