Job Title: General Shop Laborer

Location: Heath, OH

Job Description: We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable General Shop Laborer to join our dynamic team. As a General Shop Laborer, you will play a vital role in supporting our operations by performing a variety of tasks within our workshop or manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with material handling, including loading and unloading raw materials and finished products.

• Clean and maintain work areas, ensuring a safe and organized environment.

• Support machine operators and skilled tradespeople with setup, operation, and maintenance tasks.

• Perform assembly and production tasks according to established guidelines and quality standards.

• Conduct quality inspections to identify and report any defects or issues.

• Assist in inventory management by counting and recording materials and products.

• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately while maintaining attention to detail.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the shop or facility.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or similar environment is preferred.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and perform physical tasks as required.

• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and machinery is a plus.

• strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and contribute as part of a team.

• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

• Cleaning and Maintenance: Keeping work areas clean and organized, including sweeping floors, disposing of waste, and ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored. They may also assist with routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.

• Assembly and Production Support: Helping assemble components or products according to specifications. This may involve using hand tools, power tools, or following assembly instructions.

• Quality Control: Inspecting products for defects or imperfections during various stages of production. This ensures that products meet quality standards before they are shipped or further processed.

• Inventory Management: Keeping track of inventory levels, including raw materials and finished products. This may involve counting inventory, recording data, and notifying supervisors of shortages or discrepancies.

• Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting any safety hazards or incidents.
