RMD MANAGEMENT, INC. Cutting & Slicing Machine Operators in HEBER CITY, Utah
This job opprtunity is looking to fill nine (9) Cutting & Slicing Machine Operators positions from 01/01/2025 to 09/30/2025. This is for full time, Peak-load temporary employment. Duties include: The worker sets up, operates, or tends machines that cut or slice stones. Applicants will mark cutting lines and feedstock into cutting machines, onto conveyors, or under cutting blades by threading, guiding, pushing, or turning handwheels. Start pumps to circulate water. Review and maintain production records, work orders, blueprints, specifications or job samples. Determine settings and adjustments for machines, quantities, types, and dimensions of materials produced. Start machines, verify setups, make necessary adjustments, type instructions on computer keyboards, and use buttons, levers, and pedals to operate machinery. Monitor and adjust the operation of cutting machines to detect malfunctions and alter position, alignment, speed, or pressure. Use conveyors, carts, hand trucks, lift trucks, cranes, manual labor, and other tools and equipment to move, stack, and sort cut material for further processing as well as removing defective or substandard materials from machines. Applicants will also clean and lubricate cutting machines, conveyors, blades, saws, or knives, and change or replace saw blades, cables, cutter heads, and grinding wheels. Sharpen cutting blades, knives, or saws using files, bench grinders, or honing stones.
The pay is $23.42 per hour, with overtime available at $35.13 per hour, based on the hourly rate. 40 hours per week. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with some additional Saturdays from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm. Returning workers and workers with experience may be paid higher wage rates. The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Daily travel to worksites in the area of intended employment is required. The requested temporary workers will be based at 2276 South Daniels Road, Heber City, UT 84032 - Wasatch County, and will service clients within the Eastern Utah nonmetropolitan area, including the counties of Wasatch County. Employer provides transportation to and from all worksites.
Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is Bi-Weekly. Employer will make all deductions required by law. The employer does not provide housing. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day d uring travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training in the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of th total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor. As of the date of this posting, the three-fourths guarantee is not enforced, but this is subject to change.
