Maintenance Technician

Shift: D shift (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday)
What you’ll do:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for fabricating and machining (including, but not limited to, lathes, mills, welding) approximately 50% of the time and also responsible for installation of new equipment and systems, preventative and corrective maintenance, on-call assistance, and internal process improvements.
General Equipment Maintenance
Identifies or addresses malfunctions of plant operational equipment such as Slitting, Packing, Core Cutting, both manual and robotic.
Monitors plant equipment operation and performance, adjusting to performance specifications, as necessary, and performing routine preventative maintenance.
Communicates status of operating equipment to Plant Leadership.
Maintain logs, reports, work requests, or other records of work performed in plant.
Capital Equipment Projects
Installation of new equipment and systems
Creates work instructions for production processes of new equipment.
Training of appropriate personnel on new equipment and systems
Internal Product and Process Improvements
Generates ideas for continuous improvement projects and assist with implementation
Prioritizes low-cost projects and submits large projects for approval.
Who you are:
You are hands on and enjoy working on and repairing machinery.
You are great at troubleshooting and problem solving
You are a good communicator both verbally and in writing
You are comfortable working autonomously, but also working with a team.
What you have:
Minimum of 3 years in a maintenance capacity in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Degree in applicable field preferred
Electrical or mechanical background, mills/milling machines, lathes, welding (MIG/TIG). Assembly of project improvement equipment, included items fabricated in house.
Strong math skills
Flexibility to work an altered schedule as needed to accommodate business needs
Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision
Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills
