The Global Trade Compliance Manager for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for ensuring the company’s imports and exports are conducted in accordance with the rules and regulatory requirements of Customs authorities and other applicable governmental agencies. This role along with their team of experienced Trade Compliance professionals act as the primary point of contact for inquiries and escalations from Beckman Coulter sites and other stakeholder groups.

This position is part of the Logistics & Distribution organization and is based in Hebron (greater Cincinnati area), Kentucky, on-site at our Global Distribution Center. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Global Trade Compliance Team reporting to the Global Trade Compliance Director. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop, implement, and manage the relevant trade compliance policies and procedures manuals and standard work documents necessary to successfully manage import and export operations.

  • Lead and/or support various other related trade compliance or broader supply chain projects and initiatives.

  • Effectively interact with multiple government agencies and support external Customs audits as required.

  • Monitor import and export operations and perform and/or administer internal audits/risk assessments of import and export transactions.

  • Identify and lead corrective action plans related to process deficiencies, KPI improvements, and broker management.

  • Monitor and communicate Customs and Trade Compliance Regulatory Changes.

  • Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on trade compliance requirements and practices.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years’ experience OR Master’s degree with 7+ years’ experience in import and export operations and/or global trade compliance related roles.

  • 2+ years of direct leadership/management responsibility.

  • Experience analyzing and interpreting export and import rules and regulations.

  • Direct experience working for an importer or exporter and knowledge of import/export processes and related operations.

  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Understanding of global supply chain and logistics processes

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience working with global trade management (GTM) software platforms.

  • Experience managing customs broker performance and quality.
