CVG Airport Authority Workforce Development Program Coordinator in Hebron, Kentucky

Job DetailsDescriptionCLASS SUMMARY:Assists CVG Airport Authority with workforce development and community outreach efforts to broaden the exposure of aviation career paths with a specific focus on promoting aviation mechanic opportunities. This position will be responsible for coordinating and reviewing existing aviation-career related curriculum to support of historically disadvantaged populations in exposure to existing career opportunities. Supports strong relationships with community partners to engage and attract new talent pipelines into aviation careers. Collects and tracks metrics to ensure effectiveness and grant compliance. This is a temporary, grant-funded position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:This class specification represents only the core areas of responsibilities; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department.- Coordinates logistics behind formalized outreach programs for youth to increase exposure to aviation careers and attract new talent pipelines into the aviation field. This will include related-community and educational events, National Aviation Day, summer aviation camps, etc. - Assists in executing ongoing programs identified for the CVG STARS (CVG Serves Tomorrow’s Aviation Rising Stars) grant program.- Coordinates logistics behind CVG STARS program elements, including teacher externship programs, immersive experiences for students and educators.- Ensures regular communication with community partners building strong partnerships in regional talent attraction and retention, including regional educators and aviation industry stakeholders.- Organizes community outreach events to better include participants from historically underserved communities and populations.- Tracks and liaises with current and future strategic partners identified for workforce development programs.- Collects data and information in preparation for quarterly Strategic Workforce Collaborative meetings.- Supports the “River Cities Project” model to identify and track student-employer connections across the CVG campus.- Schedules and handles logistics for regular airport tours to targeted audiences, supporting the creation of materials for engagement and curriculum.- Routinely communicates with identified community partners, expanding upon education and outreach offerings targeting local refugee, limited English proficiency populations, Veterans transitioning to civilian life, and other adult learning and upskilling program participants.- Maintains data metrics supporting program goals that improve outreach efforts and program participants’ continued interest in aviation careers, following file documentation best practices.- Prepares data metrics and reports program progress in accordance with grant reporting requirements to next level leader.- Performs other duties as assigned.TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in a Human Resources-related area and two years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:- Maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance.- SHRM-CP, SCP and/or other professional human resources certification preferred.- Valid Driver’s license.KNOWLEDGE OF:- Human Resources’ policies/procedures and applicable employment laws and regulations.- When to seek supervisory guidance and legal counsel.- Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and related software.- Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn, HRIS, CRM, talent and learning management systems.SKILL IN:- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
