Responsibilities include ensuring case management practices align with procedures, policy, and law; counseling clients on job and career development goals; providing staff assistance with decision-making on difficult cases and serving as a liaison between Vocational Rehabilitation and Blind Services and community partners. In addition, DPHHS is the largest state agency with a wide range of advancement opportunities whether you are joining the workforce or have several years of experience. *Qualifications for this Career Opportunity * * * Knowledgeof psychosocial assessment, occupational placement, and vocational rehabilitation counseling. * Knowledgeof medical and psychiatric conditions in relation to the rehabilitation process. * Knowledgeof counseling theories, techniques, and applications. * Effectivewritten and oral communication skills. * Abilityto be flexible and balance between literal adherence to rules and the use of policies as a guide. Does not look to protect the rule, but rather uses the rules to increase engagement. * Meet minimum qualifications: o Individualsmay be considered for a training assignment if they possess: + Bachelor’sdegree in a related field. + Oneyear of experience in rehabilitation counseling, career counseling, or human services. o Fully qualified applicants possess: + Master’sdegree in rehabilitation counseling. + Twoyears supervisory experience providing direction to counseling activities. + Certificationby the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) is highly preferred. o Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis. * * How to Apply To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit the following required documents with your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
