Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of system testers, QA engineers, and other related personnel.

  • Foster a high-performance team environment through coaching, mentoring, and continuous skill development.

  • Provide direction on complex testing challenges and ensure the team is aligned with project timelines and priorities.

  • Define the testing strategy, approach, and plans for system testing, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and timelines.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans that include test case creation, test scenarios, test data preparation, and execution.

  • Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., Development, Business Analysts, Operations) to define requirements, identify testing needs, and determine appropriate test coverage.

  • Oversee the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks where applicable, ensuring optimal test efficiency.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of test results, identify root causes of failures, and work with development teams to resolve issues.

  • Define and enforce quality standards and best practices for system testing across all teams.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase testing efficiency, reduce time to market, and improve product quality.

  • Drive the adoption of test automation tools, performance testing, and load testing as appropriate for system-level testing.

  • Track and manage test coverage and risk, ensuring all critical system components are adequately tested.

  • Report on testing progress, risk, and defects to senior leadership and project stakeholders.

  • Proactively identify and address potential testing bottlenecks or issues that could affect project timelines.

  • Manage defect tracking and prioritize defect resolution in collaboration with development teams.

  • Collaborate closely with software architects, developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure testing aligns with business and technical requirements.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders on test progress, issues, and overall system quality status.

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to review and align test plans with project milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in system testing, quality assurance, or related field, with at least 3+ years in a management or leadership position.

  • Proven experience managing and leading teams of testers or engineers in large-scale system testing projects.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, test methodologies, and QA best practices.

  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Quality Center) and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP).

  • Expertise in manual and automated testing for complex systems, integrations, and enterprise-level applications.

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum or other project management methodologies.

  • Experience in EHR domain is a plus.

  • Understanding of testing AI based applications preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership, people management, and team-building skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex technical issues clearly.

  • Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, Ruby, etc.).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex system and integration issues.

  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and best practices in system testing.

  • Experience in managing test environments and test data for large-scale systems.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Experience in risk management and mitigation in testing scenarios.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $107,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
