ManpowerGroup Buyer / Accounts Payable Coordinator in Henderson, Kentucky
Our client, in Henderson, KY is seeking a Buyer and Accounts Payable Coordinator to join their team. As a this Dual role you will be part of the Purchasing and Accounting departments supporting materials and AP/AR. The ideal candidate will have Ability to use software tools effectively, be Well-organized and have excellent communication skills to coordinate with suppliers and internal departments which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Buyer and Accounts Payable Coordinator
Location: Henderson, KY
Pay Range: $50,000 Anually
What’s the Job?
Buyer:
Purchase materials, equipment, and supplies for a plastics production facility.
Coordinate with manufacturing and maintenance departments to establish lead times for stock in accordance with the production schedule.
Prepare bid requests and reviews supply quotations.
Negotiate with MRO suppliers to obtain cost reductions for services and suppliers.
Collaborate with suppliers to schedule and arrange the delivery of supplies.
Communicate item availability, order changes, and delays to internal departments.
Create and send purchase orders to suppliers.
Approve invoices for payment.
Accounts Payable:
Receive invoices from suppliers.
Conduct a three-way match, invoice, purchase order and bill-of-lading.
Approve invoices for payment.
Scan approved invoice into computer system so Corporate can pay the invoice.
Prepare checks using computer system for local MRO payments.
What’s Needed?
Prior Experience: Five years of prior experience as a buyer for a plastics manufacturing company.
Analytical Skills : Ability to use software tools effectively.
Organizational Skills : Well-organized and capable of managing paperwork efficiently.
Communication Skills : Excellent communication skills to coordinate with suppliers and internal departments.
