BUNZL Shipping Supervisor | 2nd shift in Henrico, Virginia

Description

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all daily activities in warehouse and must be able to work where needed in order to complete the demands of the day. The Supervisor must have the ability to supervise a crew doing multiple functions in multiple areas of the warehouse. The supervisor must be able to enforce the company policies and procedures set by management and carry oneself professionally at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive and energetic work environment

  • Coordinate daily shipping tasks and assign work to team

  • Ensure accuracy in inventory management with the Warehouse Manager through regular cycle counts and audits

  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a safe and accident-free work environment

  • Optimize workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize picking errors

  • Onboard and train new team members to maintain high standards of performance

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse setting

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team

  • Computer/data entry/Excel skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Commitment to safety and compliance

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands of the business

  • Supervise staff and delegate tasks

  • Be an advocate for change and drive process improvement

Salary range for this position at Bunzl Richmond is $70,000-$85,000 and depends on experience and education
