Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

Responsibility:
Performing an active role in further development and continuous improvement of the quality management system through identified initiatives, focusing on more mid-term/long-term projects
Direct engagement with global customers
Investigation of root cause and following through on effective corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence for the customer and internal quality issues.
Establishing inspection standards, plans, frequencies and test methods.
Preparing and updating Operations procedures and associated documentation.
Supporting customer and surveillance accreditation audits.
The Sr Quality Engineer will perform an active role in quality planning and new product introduction from a quality perspective.
Maintain relevant documentation to comply with quality standards and customer requirements.
Quality review of responsible area validation documentation.
Participates as a key member of new product development core teams, to help ensure that new product quality plans (validation plans, raw/component material specifications, etc.) and risk management files are appropriately established.
Will assist and train associates in concepts of probability and statistics.
Design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data.
Investigate and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to meet business and compliance requirements.
Assist with the development and maintenance of the company-wide validation programs.
Reports verbally and in writing to the Director / Manager regarding the progress and results of projects.
Participates with the Director / Manager in the preparation of divisional, departmental, and project goals.
Assists the Director / Manager in presentations of technical nature when requested.
Perform qualification and validation tests on connector systems according to the current test specifications
Preparation of test setups, testing and recording and control of measurement and test data in his area of responsibility and competency.
Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures including safety rules, 5S+1 and Quality management regarding IATF 6949, ISO 9001, AS9100
Knowledge sharing based on team’s operational requirements and strategies.
Responsible for test data post processing and technical review of verification & validation to ensure robustness of design.
Work cross-functionally with global engineering teams, program managers and support teams to ensure on-time execution with on-target quality and cost of programs
What your background should look like:
BS in manufacturing engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, or a related degree
Eight or more years’ experience in supporting a manufacturing environment with progressive levels of responsibility
Demonstrated knowledge of thermoplastic processing and equipment, including the broad array of materials that are used in the industry
Demonstrated ability to interpret data, create an action plan, and execute a plan that delivers business results
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Ability to sustain high performance standards and attention to detail in unstructured and unsupervised situations
Demonstrated proficiency in English, both verbal and written
