Job Title: Survey CAD Technician
Job Description
Our client is currently hiring for a Survey CAD Technician. They are a civil engineering consulting firm located in Herndon, VA, with 34 years in business. The company's projects consist mainly of land development work for residential and commercial projects. The Survey Division provides the latest in survey technology, utilizing GPS surveying equipment and digital electronic data collectors to transfer raw data directly to CAD systems for precise working drawings. The technologically driven solutions allow work to be completed quickly and with extreme accuracy.
Hard Skills
Collaborate with other team members to support the survey department
Process field data for production of plats and plans
Prepare cutsheets supporting construction stakeout
Perform deed, plat, and record drawing research
Prepare boundary composite maps and property descriptions
Process 3-D point cloud to create surfaces and contours
Maintain company CAD drafting standards
Prepare existing conditions plans and exhibits
Prepare and format ALTA survey documents
Prepare easement plats and descriptions
Prepare As-Built drawings
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Herndon, Virginia and some days remote. Work environment is a family-feel, open office environment. It is a very collaborative team where if you need help, have a question, or need to get an answer quickly, everyone is under an open-door policy and there to help.
